There are some people you meet through music who instantly feel familiar.
Not because you've known them for years, but because they understand the culture. They appreciate the journey rather than the destination, value connection over attention, and recognise that the best moments behind the decks are often the ones that simply feel effortless.
George Of Course is one of those people.
Although we had mutual friends for years, it wasn't until Defected Croatia that we properly connected. Between long conversations, unforgettable sunsets at Vortex and world-class music, it became clear that we shared the same philosophy. A deep appreciation for soulful, underground house music and a belief that the strongest connections are often built through the records we share.
Since then, we've stayed in touch through music. Trading new discoveries, exchanging ideas and introducing each other to artists that continue to push the sound forward. When the opportunity came to invite George to contribute to the UnderDeep series, it felt like a natural progression.
For his Vinyl Vandals guest appearance, George has delivered something truly dope!
Built across seventeen beautifully curated tracks, this mix is a journey through the warmer, deeper and more soulful corners of house music. It moves with purpose, balancing emotion, groove and musicality in a way that rewards every listen. This isn't a collection of tracks assembled to follow trends. It's a carefully crafted story that unfolds naturally, allowing each record the space to breathe.
Listeners of UnderDeep will immediately recognise some familiar names throughout the selection. Producers such as TimAdeep, Ralf Gum, Aizo Clutch, Gabbana and T.Williams have become regular features of the series, consistently delivering the timeless, soulful Deep sound that has helped shape the UnderDeep identity. Alongside standout productions, George's selections feel perfectly at home within the musical world we've been building episode after episode.
Opening with Tour-Maubourg's remix of Jaded Love before flowing effortlessly through highlights including Strong Again, Thought You Were Mine, First Love, Spirit and closing with TimAdeep's beautiful Light at the End (So Done), the mix never loses sight of its purpose: to create a moment of escape through exceptional music.
Reflecting on the discovery, Chino explains:
“As both a DJ and producer, ‘George Of Course’ possesses a rare ability to make every set feel personal. His musical knowledge runs deep, and his selections are thoughtful.
Away from the decks, he’s one of those genuinely wonderful people who brings warmth wherever he goes. The kind of person who lights up a room, brings people together and reminds you that dance music has always been about community first.
Those qualities shine through every minute of this guest mix.”
We're incredibly grateful that George accepted our invitation to become part of the UnderDeep family. His contribution captures everything Vinyl Vandals stands for: authentic music, meaningful friendships and carefully curated journeys that place feeling above fashion.
Whether you're listening on headphones, driving into the sunset or finding a quiet moment away from the noise, this is a mix designed to be experienced rather than simply heard.
