A new passion project emerged, one that has been brewing in the heart and mind of a Chino Vv for a while. As 2024 dawned, he made a decision that would resonate with fans and enthusiasts alike: it was time to dust off a cherished vinyl collection and delve deep into the vault for some new and nostalgic Garage sounds.
The mission was clear for Chino, who resides in Doha, Qatar, to blend the essence of both new and classic tracks, injecting fresh energy that UK Garage fans would appreciate.
This DJ's love affair with music can be traced back to Manchester in 2002. It was there, on a humble pair of belt drive turntables, that House and Garage music captured his heart, creatively and profoundly. These genres were not just melodies to the ears; they became the heartbeat of a movement, one that would lead down an unforgettable path that continues today; you guessed it: The Vinyl Vandals.
Inspired by recent events such as Professor X's latest Vinyl Vandals guest mix (here) and the unforgettable performances of DJ EZ and Todd Edwards at Mas Tiempo (DrumSheds London), the decision to step up and take the stage was inevitable. Utilizing the Vinyl Vandals community as a platform, Chino set out to pay homage to the genre that ignited a lifelong passion.
