On 4 July, in the heart of Doha Design District, Msheireb, Chino VV was invited to perform a special Vinyl Only DJ set as part of The Espresso Collective's latest community gathering, created in partnership with Mianda Collective.
The afternoon celebrated everything that makes independent culture so special—coffee, conversation, creativity and music. It wasn't a festival or a club night. It was an invitation to slow down, connect with others and experience music in its purest form.

Currently residing in Doha Design District ahead of the opening of its permanent home in Msheireb later this year, The Espresso Collective has quickly become far more than a coffee shop.
It has evolved into a creative hub where people gather to share ideas, discover local talent and experience thoughtfully curated events that celebrate the city's growing cultural landscape.
Throughout the afternoon, visitors moved effortlessly between speciality coffee, conversations, creative workshops and the soundtrack provided entirely on vinyl.
It was relaxed. It was welcoming. And it perfectly reflected the philosophy behind both The Espresso Collective and Vinyl Vandals—that meaningful experiences are built through genuine human connection.

Bringing the event to life was Mianda Collective, an experience-led creative brand dedicated to showcasing some of the region's most exciting artists, musicians and cultural storytellers.
Rather than simply organising events, Mianda Collective creates environments where creativity feels natural, accessible and collaborative. Every detail is considered, allowing local talent to connect with audiences in a way that feels authentic rather than performative.

Helping shape the atmosphere throughout the afternoon was Ahmed Shaheen (All Things Shaheen), who hosted the experience with the same warmth and curiosity that has made him one of Qatar's most recognisable cultural voices.
Rather than simply introducing the music, Shaheen invited guests to become part of it.
Visitors were encouraged to share song requests, personal dedications and stories connected to the records they loved, transforming the afternoon into something far more interactive than a traditional DJ set.
As Chino VV guided guests through an afternoon of Neo Soul and soulful house, Shaheen effortlessly connected each moment, creating conversations around the music before later stepping behind the turntables himself to continue the journey.
